Our Story

Marie-Clare is a GP partner who's been in practice for over ten years and is a GP trainer. After helping trainees prepare for the SCA, she noticed that the revision resources out there hadn't changed since she was a trainee herself. She thought it was time for something fresh, something that reflected how GPs work and learn today.

Niamh is a digital designer who's all about bringing ideas to life online. When she heard the plan for SCA+, she jumped straight in and said, "Let's make it happen."

Two friends combining GP insight with creative design to build something new for GP trainees. We hope it feels modern, supportive, and useful - made by people who get what it's like to be in your shoes.

Testimonials

Hear from those who’ve been there : trainers and trainees who’ve experienced the SCA journey with us.

Dr Fergus Donaghy GP Trainer FRCGP

I have enjoyed the privilege of supervising over 80 GP trainees. Marie-Clare was a trainee with a genuine appetite for learning, and is now sharing her experience. She had an uncanny knack of being able to distill down the consultation and rebuild

it in a seamless fashion to demonstrate all the components.

I am delighted she has sustained this enthusiasm and has now developed such a helpful programme. Great use of twin screens

with subtitles to demonstrate the objectives in a real world context.

Dr Kazi Ahmad MRCGP

Working with Dr. Shevlin was truly a game-changer during my GP ST3 training.

I had been struggling to pass the RCA exam and complete my training, but her guidance made all the difference. Dr. Shevlin’s unique teaching style, use of practical examples, and deep understanding of communication and consultation skills not

only helped me prepare effectively for the exam but also transformed my everyday clinical practice.

After just a few practice sessions with her, I noticed a real improvement in my confidence, patient interactions, and the feedback I received from both patients and

colleagues. I went on to

pass my RCA exam with flying colours after previously failing on my    first attempt.

I highly recommend Dr. Shevlin and her website to all GP trainees seeking practical, effective techniques to master the SCA and build genuine confidence in their consultations.

Dr William Rea MRCGP

I would thoroughly recommend Dr Shevlin in helping prepare for the RCGP SCA examination.  She was an excellent  GPST3 trainer for myself, whose passion for teaching shone through when revising for the SCA.

Dr Shevlin excelled in delivering case-based teaching, which emphasised the use of real GP experiences and supported the development of an adaptable consultation style which made passing the SCA first time

straightforward.  Her SCA videos are highly professional, providing a valuable resource bank for GP trainees preparing not only for the SCA exam, but also for future practice.
